Acrylic pours, mixed media canvases, mannequin sculpture, and landscape photography from the Usk valley and the hills above it. Everything here started outside or in a room with paint on the floor.

Featured work
Keepers Pond.
Northern Lights.
I was standing at Keepers Pond on the Blorenge with my camera when the sky did something I’d never seen over South Wales. Actual visible aurora. Purple, pink, gold, bleeding across the horizon above the water.
I went home and tried to put it on canvas. Mixed acrylic, metallic foil on the lower section, UV-reactive pigments throughout. In daylight it’s a landscape. Turn the lights off and it becomes the night I stood at that pond.
One-off original. Large canvas. UV reactive

“I’ve lived alongside the River Usk for fifty years. Everything I make comes from paying attention to the same landscape long enough to start seeing it differently.”
Based in Goytre, Monmouthshire. Former soldier, chef, and photographer. The painting came later. The eye was always there.
